                         MECHANISMS OF DISEASE 
Objective: The learner will be able to:
1.List & describe the basic mechanisms of disease and risk factors associated with disease.
2.List and describe the 5 categories of pathogenic organisms and explain how they cause disease.
3.Distinguish between the terms benign and malignant as they apply to tumors
4.Describe the pathogenesis of cancer.
5.Outline the events of the inflammatory response and explain its role in disease
